Description
The RC522 RFID Reader Module is a low-cost, highly integrated RFID/NFC solution that operates at 13.56 MHz. It supports reading and writing to MIFARE 1K/4K RFID cards and tags.
The module uses an SPI interface (with optional I²C/UART support) for fast communication with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi.
It is commonly used in access control systems, attendance systems, contactless identification, IoT authentication, and secure door-lock projects.
The module includes an onboard PCB antenna for stable reading performance and offers up to 5 cm reading distance depending on card/tag type.
