Description
The ULN2003 is a versatile 7-channel NPN Darlington transistor array designed to interface microcontrollers—such as Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, and Raspberry Pi—with high-current and high-voltage loads. Each of the seven channels can sink up to 500mA, making it suitable for driving relays, indicators, lamps, solenoids, and especially stepper motors such as the 28BYJ-48.
The IC includes integrated flyback diodes, offering built-in protection when switching inductive loads. It accepts both 3.3V and 5V logic, making it perfect for modern embedded systems. The ULN2003 is widely used in automation systems, robotics, vending machines, automotive projects, and industrial control circuits.
