Description
The HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor is one of the most widely used distance measurement modules in robotics and embedded systems. It uses ultrasonic waves to detect objects and returns precise distance readings with a typical accuracy of ±3mm.
The module operates using a simple Trigger and Echo interface, making it easy to integrate with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, STM32, and other microcontrollers. It’s commonly used in applications such as smart parking systems, obstacle avoidance robots, liquid level detection, and automated measurement tools.
The sensor transmits an ultrasonic burst at 40kHz, waits for the echo, and calculates the distance based on the time of flight. It is lightweight, stable, and designed for both beginners and advanced developers.
